Help women become empowered by belief in themselves!
Irina Jacobson migrated twice, raised two kids, and started from scratch…thrice. She did this all with one leg. Having been diagnosed with sarcoma at the age of 7, Irina lost her leg at 8 and has been navigating life with her disability ever since. What would be holding many people back, Irina uses as a force of motivation for others. Her drive, resilience, and passion has become an inspiration to all those whose lives Irina touches.
Arriving in Canada in 2019, Irina entered as an international student and a single mom of two, having little knowledge of English or how to navigate opportunities in Canada. Having dabbled in many fields that seemed to “make sense” but never worked out, Irina ended up taking a nail technician course. While joining it just for fun, Irina quickly discovered her work was acting as a walking billboard, and her client list started to grow. Her client list has been growing for the last 20 years. Eventually, sharing her skills, in 2019, Irina opened Emi School Canada and Distribution Centre. A beauty supply and nail school for beginners and professionals alike to build their careers and be supported while doing so. Irina has taught over 1,000 students, creating and improving careers all across Canada. However, what Irina really does is give women and men the tools and techniques they need in order to be independent. She believes though a little skill development, she can free people from bad relationships, unfulfilling careers, and from their own expectations of themselves.
In her spare time, Irina enjoys working out, sailing, dancing, playing piano, and modelling. Her energy and excitement for life is constantly radiating and spreads in all she does and to all she meets.
