Elena Bogomaz, Mortgage Broker, CPA, CGA She holds a Chartered Professional Accounting (CPA) designation and is a senior mortgage professional at Dominion Lending Centres.

Having earned a bachelor’s degree in management and economics from her native country and working as a controller before coming to Canada in 1998, she has a strong background in finance and accounting.

She quickly understood that she had to start from scratch as her diploma was not recognized in Canada. Despite the challenges, she decided to pursue her goal of becoming a chartered accountant in a new country and work in a field she loves. 

In addition to working to support her family, she studied with the CPA for seven years in her second language. She emphasizes the importance of time management and organization skills in becoming successful in your career and encourages people to never give up on their dreams.

The decision to become a mortgage professional comes after Elena’s own mortgage application for an investment property was declined by a home bank. As a professional accountant, she was eager to understand why it happened and what factors contributed to it. As a result of this experience, Elena decided to pursue a career in the mortgage industry.

Elena is passionate about helping people, which explains why she considers her job to be highly rewarding. Her goal is to find solutions for everyone’s housing needs, especially those of first-time buyers.

Elena aims to educate people on mortgage process by providing detailed information about mortgage products and making the complicated mortgage process easier.

Her main strengths are time management, analytical, emotional intelligent, empathy, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
